Client Requirements

We helped Westfields Ltd with a standard rules permit for their start up metal recycling business. The permit application focused around the requirements for a fire prevention plan and how to prevent firewater entering the surface water system at their facility. We liaised with the Environment Agency and Wessex Water trade effluent in order to get the permit granted.

What We Delivered

Our involvement was from the start of this permit application as the owner wanted to start a new metal recycling facility from scratch. The standard rules permit involved dust and noise management planning as well as discussions and decisions around surface and foul water management, obtaining a scrap metal dealers licence and how to comply with waste returns and WAMITAB.
