Bespoke Waste Permit
Client Requirements
We helped MidWest Polychem with a bespoke waste permit for their plastic recycling facility in Peterborough. The Environment Agency determination process was long and lengthy. Almost two years due to various complexities on the site. The application involved a MCP application for generator sets. As well as noise and vibration studies and a fire prevention plan.
The site was quite large and sprawling and close to some sensitive receptors. The Environment Agency required several surveys. Site condition reports, noise and vibration reports, fire prevention plans, drainage plans, waste acceptance criteria, environmental procedures and operating procedures.
What We Delivered
Paul Downing & Associates Ltd worked closely with mid-West Polychem over the two years. The permit application was being determined by the Environment Agency. As well as providing technical support in the form of factual reports and surveys. We were also able to provide administrative support on how to deal with the application process and the terminology used by the Environment Agency.
Our support included out of hours telephone calls and quick turn around times. Further information was requested by the Environment Agency as part of the determination process. We were able to provide a one stop shop for this rather complication application. We were able to see it through to a successful conclusion.
