ISO 50001 Certification CEMEX South Ferriby

Paul Downing & Associates have been working with CEMEX South Ferriby towards ISO 50001 Certification to integrate energy management systems (ISO 50001) into their existing ISO 14001 environmental management system.

BSI completed their final ISO 50001 certification audit in April 2015 and recommended CEMEX for certification to the energy management system standard.

The energy management system scope at South Ferriby included the two main kilns, all operations using fuel on-site including the quarry and ancillary electrical use by rotators, conveyors and pumps as well as the extensive lighting on-site needed to light load bays and travel ways. South Ferriby was closed for much of 2014 due to flooding so it is especially impressive that the site implemented the energy management system in just over 12 months from start to finish.

Paul Downing & Associates were involved in developing many of the procedures used in the EnMS as well as providing direction and guidance on the distinct elements of ISO 50001 implementation and ISO 50001 Certification.
