LKM Shredder Environmental Permit Application

Paul Downing & Associates have been working with LKM for a number of years. Recently we have helped Tony Hughes and his team successfully apply for a variation for their shredder environmental permit for the installation of a new 25 tonne shredder that will help LKM increase recycling by 25% at their Sittingbourne facility.

LKM operate a metals recycling facility in Sittingbourne Kent and resize and sort metal components as part of the business. The installation of a shredder in a purpose built housing facility will enable them to expand the business operation and increase the recycling rate. The shredder produces smaller fragments of plastics and metals that can then be used for other purposes.
